DAY 1 : ARRIVAL IN KUNMING
- Pick up at the airport and greet by our representative tour guide
- If time permits: Kunming Military Academy, Shuangqiao Night Market. Complimentary Kunming Old Street food experience for early arrivals.
DAY 2 — KUNMING - STONE FOREST - LEJU VILLAGE - CHUXIONG (B/L/D)
- After breakfast, depart to Stone Forest Scenic Area
- Then visit Leju Village, a historic Yi ethnic village
- Travel to Chuxiong.
- Visit Long Street Banquet
- Overnight in Chuxiong.
- Seasonal note: From 20 November to 1 March, Leju Village will be replaced by Dianchi Haigeng Dam for the winter red-billed seagull experience. Complimentary seagull feed is provided.
DAY 3:DAY 3 — CHUXIONG - DALI (B/L/D)
- After breakfast,travel to Dali visit Ideal Garden.
- Enjoy horse drawn carriage ride to the Xizhou Wheat Fields
- Continue to the Erhai Ecological Corridor
- Visit Nanzhao Xicheng
- Visit Taihe City Ruins
- Return to Da Nang
- Dinner at local restaurant
- Overnight in Da Nang

Malaysian passport holders can currently visit China visa-free for eligible short stays, subject to the latest Chinese immigration requirements.
How do I travel from Malaysia to Yunnan?
The most convenient option is to fly from Malaysia to Kunming Changshui International Airport (KMG), the main international gateway to Yunnan. From Kunming, travellers can continue to destinations such as Dali, Lijiang and Shangri-La by high-speed train, domestic flight or private transportation.
What is the best time to visit Yunnan?
Yunnan can be visited throughout the year, but March to May and September to November are generally excellent periods for comfortable weather and sightseeing. Spring is particularly attractive for flowers and greenery, while autumn often offers clearer skies and mountain views.
How many days do I need for Yunnan trip?
For a first visit, we recommend around 6–8 days for a route covering Kunming, Dali and Lijiang. If you would like to include Shangri-La, around 8–10 days gives you more time to enjoy the destinations without rushing.
Is Yunnan trip suitable for families?
Yes. Yunnan is suitable for families, couples, senior travellers and private groups. The itinerary can be adjusted according to your preferred pace, walking ability and sightseeing interests. For families with young children or elderly travellers, a more relaxed itinerary is recommended
